AutoStudio is built for industrial and automotive design work that moves from early form development into controlled production surfacing. NURBS and Class-A tools provide the curve, surface and continuity control needed when the shape has to progress beyond a visual concept into refined surface data.
From the 2020 release onward, subdivision modeling is integrated directly into Alias. Use SubD when fast form exploration is the priority; move into NURBS and Class-A refinement when continuity and controlled surface quality become the priority. This keeps rapid concept shaping and technical surfacing inside the same Alias modeling environment.
